Overview of the Foreign Workers Compensation Scheme (FWCS)
The FWCS is a standardized insurance plan providing cover for all foreign workmen employed by a company. Section 26(2) of the Workmen’s Compensation Act 1952 makes it compulsory for all foreign workers to be insured under the FWCS.
Coverage and Benefits
Duration of cover is for one year and the policy indemnifies the insured for any compensation that is payable under the Act in relation to both employment injury as well as non-employment injury sustained by the foreign worker.
Workmen Compensation (During Working Hours)
All compensation payable for accidents during office hours will be as assessed by the Ministry of Human Resources and be subjected to the maximum limits of indemnity as follows:

| Repatriation Expenses |
Pays for the cost of transportation of the remains of the deceased worker or permanently disabled worker back to his/her country of origin.
